My father’s work has always been the inspiration behind my paintings. When I was a child, I saw the grit, strength, and tiredness that filled his days as a welding technician, as well as the warmth and care he showed as a father. Even though our family has three daughters and no sons, I often joined him in his workshop, rolling up my sleeves to work beside him. These times are at the heart of my art. With each brushstroke, I try to show the spirit of hard work, using bold colors, strong shapes, and textured layers to bring the workshop’s tough reality to life. 

This trilogy of artwork shows the true meaning of labor and is closely connected to my father’s life as a welder. Inspired by what I saw in his trade, these paintings show endurance and the struggle to survive. The detailed welding tools, paint buckets, and the messy workshop reflect the real, tough world of a laborer. The strong bonds and bright sparks from welding are just part of the hard work needed to get by. But just as heat fades away, the worker’s effort and the results of that work often end up feeling distant and out of reach.
